Marcus Freeman was born and brought up in Cambridge. He moved to London to study Graphic Design at the former Hornsey School of Art, now part of Middlesex University, from 1993 to 1996. After which he pursued a career as a commercial designer and fine artist, producing chiefly elegantly abstracted urban landscapes and studies of unassuming commercial buildings that explore the contradiction between clarity and atmosphere.
